About

Hi, I’m Samantha Williams, the founder of Bold Coast Yoga.  My yoga journey began in 2004 as a college student who couldn’t touch her toes, and suffered with arthritis and anxiety.  Over the past 17 years, yoga and mindfulness practices have transformed my life from surviving into thriving.  I love sharing what I’ve learned with my students and clients, and watching them experience their own transformations.

In order to satisfy my love of learning and help serve others, I earned my personal trainer’s certification from ACE (in 2010), and studied over 1,200 hours of yoga, ayurveda, and physiology from Cape Elizabeth, Maine to Nosara, Costa Rica. It’s a joy to incorporate what I’ve learned as I lead classes and yoga trainings, at Bold Coast Yoga and in my role as part-time faculty at the University of Maine Machias.

I see my role as a guide versus a lecturer, and strive to help my students and clients find the wellness practices and/or yoga poses that suit them best.  I love helping students and clients learn to listen to their bodies, notice patterns in their thoughts, and find ways to feel amazing.

I’ve been honored to study with Travis Eliot, Lauren Eckstrom, Joe Miller, Alex Amorosi, Edward Jones, Gabrielle Whitewolf, Leslie Clark, the BioMechanics Method (r), YogaFit (c), and many more, while completing over 1,000 hours of yoga training, which include two separate 200 hour programs. I’m also a wife and a mom, and my two kiddos and husband are among her favorite teachers.

I’m an E-RYT 500, (Experienced Yoga Teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance) and Bold Coast Yoga is an RYS (Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance).  Graduates of the 200 and 300-hour trainings are able to register with Yoga Alliance.
