Samantha Williams, founder of Bold Coast Yoga has practiced yoga for 17 years and counting. She has a strong fitness background in personal training and corrective exercise, which allows her to teach the asanas (physical poses of yoga) both creatively, and safely. Yogic philosophy is also important to Samantha; she includes the Eight Limbs of Yoga her teachings. She has studied with Travis Eliot, Lauren Eckstrom, Joe Miller, Edward Jones, Gabrielle Whitewolf, Suzanne Imbruno-Cobb, Leslie Clark, the BioMechanics Method(r) YogaFit(c), the American Council on Exercise, and others, while completing over 1,000 hours of yoga training.
Samantha believes that yoga is for every body, it’s just a matter of finding a practice that suits the practitioner. That style could be Vinyasa today, and Restorative tomorrow, or a combination of alignment-focused work and pranayama (breath work.)
Samantha is an E-RYT 500, (Experienced Yoga Teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance) and Bold Coast Yoga is an RYS (Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance). Graduates of the 200 and 300-hour trainings are able to register with Yoga Alliance.
Samantha is also a wife and a mom; she counts her young daughters and husband among her favorite teachers.
